Intrauterine Insemination - IUI

iui

Intrauterine insemination or “artificial insemination” is the process of placing ~0.5 mL of washed/processed and concentrated semen directly into the uterus. The washed specimen should contain at least 5 million motile sperm for IUI to be effective. Many factors determine IUI success; however, it is often cited that 5-15% of IUI cycles result in a live birth.
